Permanent Restroom Project The permanent restroom facility at Jones Brothers Park is still under construction and not yet open to the public. As always, several portable restrooms (portalets) are available throughout the park for visitor use. We appreciate your patience as we continue working to complete this improvement project and will provide updates as construction progresses. Thank you for your understanding.
Boat Launch & Vehicle Parking Permits FAQ’s
The City of Jonestown requires all vehicles using Jones Brothers Park to display a valid permit. Permits help us maintain and improve the park, boat ramps, and public facilities.
🏡 For Jonestown Residents
Eligibility: Residents living inside Jonestown city limits may obtain a free vehicle parking permit decal and a discounted annual boat launch pass.
Steps to Obtain:
- Complete a Vehicle Parking Permit or Boat Launch Permit Application.
- Bring proof of Jonestown residency (driver’s license, utility bill, or vehicle registration).
- Submit your application at Jonestown City Hall.
- Pick up your decal(s) for your household vehicles.
Fees for Residents:
- Vehicle Parking Permit: Free (funded by Jonestown taxpayers)
- Annual Boat Launch Permit: $80 per household
🌎 For Non-Residents
Non-residents are welcome to use Jones Brothers Park. A permit is required for parking and launching boats.
Options:
- Daily Vehicle Parking: $20/day (pay at the kiosk inside the park).
- Daily Boat Launch: $20/day (pay at the kiosk inside the park).
- Annual Boat Launch Pass: $250 per household (purchase at City Hall).
Steps to Obtain an Annual Pass:
- Complete a Boat Launch Permit Application.
- Bring your application to Jonestown City Hall.
- Pay the applicable fee (check, money order, or credit card with 3% service fee).
- Receive your permit decal(s) for your vehicle(s).

Jones Brothers Park has three public boat ramps for launching (water level permitting).

Canyonlands Trail
Canyonlands Trail can be accessed from Jones Brothers Park by Boat Ramp No.1 or from Fireman’s Park via stairs, this part of the trail is near the wet-weather waterfall. Open Sunrise to Sunset - PARK MAP

Fireman’s Park
18314 N. Park Drive - Open Sunrise to 10:00pm - PARK MAP
Originally the park was created and built by the Jonestown Volunteer Fire Department and was the scene for their annual Labor Day Bar-B-Q fund raiser. After the City of Jonestown acquired the park, we have improved it and added a connection to Jones Brothers Park through Canyonlands Trail. The park features shade trees, picnic tables and a large smoker pit.

Shady Park
18403 Plazaway - Open Sunrise to 10:00pm - PARK MAP
Shady Park is one of Jonestown’s hidden gems, featuring a grove of majestic oak trees. A crushed granite walking path meanders through the park, and over a rustic wood bridge, that leads to Fireman’s Park and into the Canyonlands Trail.

Veteran’s Memorial Park
10800 Ridgeway Street - Open Sunrise to 10:00pm - PARK MAP
Dedicated to the Men & Women Who Have Served our Country. A reflective memorial features a bronze statue of a young soldier entitled “Going Home” sculpted by Jonestown resident Jim Thomas. This soldier, who has served his country, waits in anticipation of his ride to return home to his loved ones. Along with the memorial, this park also features a beautiful picnic area under the canopy of stately oak trees.

Pecan Park
11810 Pecan Drive - Open Sunrise to 10:00pm - PARK MAP
Pecan Park is loved for its grove of mature Pecan trees next to the lovely wet-weather Big Sandy Creek. Picnic tables and BBQ pit are available for leisure.
