🚨 Emergency Response Updates

Updated: July 10, 2025

  • Missing/Fatalities: 8 confirmed fatalities and 4 individuals remain missing. Search efforts continue.

  • Flood Resource Recovery Center:\ Location: Danielson Middle School, 1061 Collaborative Way, Leander\ Services Available: Showers, hot meals, food boxes, cleaning supplies, crisis cleanup help, health screenings, and mental health support\ Hours:

    • Thursday, July 10: 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
    • Friday, July 11 & ongoing: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Door-to-Door Visits: County and state teams are conducting damage assessments and wellness checks.\ Report damage at: damage.tdem.texas.gov


Flood Recovery Resources

  • Food & Basic Supplies:

    • Central Texas Food Bank is distributing food daily at Round Mountain Baptist Church, 14500 Round Mountain Rd., Leander
  • Trash Disposal:

    • A large household trash dumpster is available on the north side of the Sandy Creek bridge (foot traffic only).
    • Travis County is waiving drop-off fees at the 1431 Citizens Collection Center (2625 Woodall Dr.)\ Hours: Thurs–Sat, 8:00 a.m. – 3:50 p.m.
  • Storm Debris Pickup:\ Travis County is working to contract storm debris removal. Residents in unincorporated areas should begin sorting debris into piles (e.g., appliances, construction, vegetative) placed curbside without blocking roads or access.
